Recommended Packing List

This is a suggested packing list… it is not entirely inclusive but it’s a start!

  • Airline Ticket- (and return ticket)
  • Passport- you can no longer travel to Jamaica without a passport.
  • Prescription & Non-Prescription Medication- Enough for your entire vacation plus two additional days (just in case). It is important that you carry your prescriptions in their original labeled containers.
  • Money!! Cash, credit cards, cash card and/or travelers checks. Bring cash in small denominations (i.e. US $1’s and US $5’s). Larger restaurants, shops and hotels will have change for large denominations, however smaller vendors (i.e. small restaurants, small shops or vendors) will not necessarily have change for large bills.
  • SUNSCREEN!!!
  • Swimsuits- two or more if you have them.
  • Beach Towel(s)- Thin beach towels are best since the think ones dry very slowly in the humidity.
  • Aqua/Water Shoes- are perfect for excursions to waterfalls or river tours. They are also helpful for swimming or walking through rocky areas.
  • Beach Cover Up- Sarong, t-shirt, etc.
  • Sunglasses
  • Shorts
  • Tank tops and t-shirts
  • Comfortable sandals or walking shoes

  • Over the Counter Medicines- for those unexpected issues….Pepto Bismol, Anti-ich cream, Asprin, etc.
  • Beach Bag- or backpack for day trips or to carry to the beach.
  • A Dress-Up Outfit- or two. Dressing up is definitely not a must but it is fun when you are going to a nice restaurant or out to a nightclub.
  • Travel Alarm Clock- Just in case you have to get up for a tour or for a plane.
  • Small Purse- for those times you don’t want to carry a lot.
